DM&E Passenger Train Returns to Sioux Falls Sunday
Sioux Falls, SD – The Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern (DM&E) Railroad is bringing its passenger cars back to Sioux Falls this Sunday, offering employees and invited guests a taste of what the railroad hopes to offer in the future.
DM&E President & CEO Kevin V. Schieffer announced last September that the railroad would like to offer special excursion passenger service as a part of its rail upgrade plan. DM&E will once again give employees and invited guests a rare opportunity to ride a train in the Sioux Falls area on Sunday, June 3, 2007. Since passenger service left Sioux Falls several decades ago, Sunday’s ride will give a feel of what it’s like to ride the rails once again.
The DM&E’s passenger cars will be leaving from Pasley Park in Sioux Falls, heading north for a two-hour ride, including through Downtown and over the Falls. Details follow.
